Chalk Paint Class #101 at Robyn Story Design

Oh! What fun a Chalk Paint Workshop can be! Take Lori, Robyn and six excited gals and it's a day of learning, laughter and good food! (no food photos! I ate it all!)

Our class was held at Robyn Story Designs in Tampa.....

We learned five different techniques using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, soft and the dark wax~

"Whitewash"

"Clouded Stipple" Technique, I didn't like it at first...but after applying the dark was~this sample is my absolute fav~!

This is Robyn's "Boom Boom" Technique! Actually, it's the "Wave Technique" Between Robyn's Boom~Boom and my chair dancing, this is what I came up with~

"Rustic"

"Two-Color"

Old White & Dark Wax (soft wax always, always FIRST) per Lori!! lol

Gold~Leaf Technique by "Boom~Boom" er, ah, I mean Robyn~

Chalk-Paint used on fabric! Isn't that da bomb~Amazing Paint, It is!

Found this great little store "The Blue Moon Trading Company" owned by Katie Gagnon. She is just the sweetest gal! Her store has oodles and oodles of goodies. My shyness kicks in when it comes to asking a shoppe owner if I can take photos of their store (hence, the name of this post). I did manage to take some of the outside goodies..Whatcha think of all this eye candy? I loved every bit of it.

Sack Lunches

~An email too heartwarming not to share~

I put my carry-on in the
luggage compartment and sat down in my assigned
seat. It was going to be a long flight. 'I'm
glad I have a good book to read. Perhaps I will
get a short nap,' I thought.

Just before take-off,
a line of soldiers came down the aisle and
filled all the vacant seats, totally surrounding
me. I decided to start a conversation.

'Where are you
headed?' I asked the soldier seated nearest to
me. 'Petawawa. We'll be there for two
weeks for special training, and then we're being
deployed to Afghanistan

After flying for about an hour, an announcement was
made that sack lunches were available for five
dollars. It would be several hours before we
reached the east, and I quickly decided a lunch
would help pass the time...

As I reached for my wallet, I overheard a soldier ask his buddy if
he planned to buy lunch. 'No, that seems
like a lot of money for just a sack lunch.

Probably wouldn't be worth five bucks.
I'll wait till we get to base.'

His friend agreed.

I looked around at the
other soldiers. None were buying lunch. I walked
to the back of the plane and handed the flight
attendant a fifty dollar bill. 'Take a
lunch to all those soldiers.' She grabbed my
arms and squeezed tightly. Her eyes wet with
tears, she thanked me. 'My son was a soldier in Iraq ;

it's almost like you are doing it for
him.'

Picking up ten sacks, she headed up the aisle to where the
soldiers were seated. She stopped at my seat and
asked, 'Which do you like best - beef or
chicken?' 'Chicken,' I replied,
wondering why she asked. She turned and went to
the front of plane, returning a minute later
with a dinner plate from first class.

'This is your thanks.'

After we finished
eating, I went again to the back of the plane,
heading for the rest room.
A man stopped me. 'I saw what you did. I want to
be part of it. Here, take this.' He handed me
twenty-five dollars.

Soon after I returned
to my seat, I saw the Flight Captain coming down
the aisle, looking at the aisle numbers as he
walked, I hoped he was not looking for me, but
noticed he was looking at the numbers only on my
side of the plane. When he got to my row he
stopped, smiled, held out his hand and said, 'I
want to shake your hand.' Quickly unfastening my
seatbelt I stood and took the Captain's hand.
With a booming voice he said, 'I was a soldier
and I was a military pilot. Once, someone bought
me a lunch. It was an act of kindness I never
forgot.' I was embarrassed when applause was
heard from all of the passengers.

Later I walked to the
front of the plane so I could stretch my legs. A
man who was seated about six rows in front of me
reached out his hand, wanting to shake mine. He
left another twenty-five dollars in my palm.

When we landed I
gathered my belongings and started to deplane.
Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man
who stopped me, put something in my shirt
pocket, turned, and walked away without saying a
other twenty-five dollars!

Upon entering the
terminal, I saw the soldiers gathering for their
trip to the base.
I walked over to
them and handed them seventy-five dollars. 'It
will take you some time to reach the base.
It will be about time for a sandwich.
God Bless You.'

Ten young
men left that flight feeling the love and
respect of their fellow travelers.

As I walked briskly to
my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe
return. These soldiers were giving their all for
our country. I could only give them a couple of
meals. It seemed so little...

A veteran is someone
who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank
check made payable to 'The United States of
America ' for an amount of 'up to and
including my life.'

That is Honor, and
there are way too many people in this country
who no longer understand it.'

Found this recipe on the Ghirardelli Chocolate Site:

Chocolate Black-Bottom Pie

Yield: 8 servings

1 100% Cacao Unsweetened Chocolate Baking Bar
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) unflavored gelatin
2 eggs, separated
1/2 cup(s) sugar, divided
1 pinch of salt
3/4 cup(s) milk
1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
1/4 cup(s) butter
1/4 cup(s) dark brown sugar, packed
4 bananas, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch rounds
1 (9-inch) chocolate crumbpie crust, store bought or homemade (see below for instructions)
Convert to metric

Directions

In heatproof bowl set over simmering water, melt unsweetened chocolate. In small cup, sprinkle gelatin over 2 tablespoons cold water; let stand. In saucepan, whisk together egg yolks, 1/4 cup of the sugar and the salt. Gradually whisk in milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture coats a spoon (180°F on a candy thermometer). Remove from heat; stir in gelatin until dissolved, then whisk in chocolate and vanilla. Set saucepan in a bowl of ice water; stir constantly with a spatula until cold, making sure to scrape the bottom of the saucepan. Remove from ice water; transfer chocolate mixture into a large mixing bowl. In bowl with electric mixer, beat egg whites until foamy; gradually beat in remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Continue beating to soft peaks; do not overbeat. Fold egg whites into chocolate mixture; turn mixture into pie crust. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

In saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar. When mixture is bubbling, whisk in 2 tablespoons water until smooth. Add bananas; cook about 1 minute or until sauce thickens and coats bananas. Cool, spoon over top of pie. (Bananas can also be served warm; top each slice with a spoonful of bananas just before serving.)

To make pie crust from scratch, heat oven to 350°F. In food processor, process 1 1/2 cups crushed chocolate wafers to coarse crumbs. Add 4 tablespoons melted butter; process to fine crumbs. Press evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish. Place on baking sheet; bake 10 minutes. Cool.
To cut pie, run a sharp knife under hot water between cutting slices.

Slow Cooker Pineapple-Pork Tacos

I NEVER would have thought of making Tacos in the Slow Cooker, would you?? I found this recipe on the Betty Crocker site~Will be experimenting soon!

Give a Mexican standard a Caribbean edge when you fill ready-made taco shells with slow-cooked pork, pineapple, and lime along with traditional fillings.

PREP TIME

20 Min

TOTAL TIME

7 Hr 20 Min

SERVINGS 6

INGREDIENTS

1	lb boneless pork shoulder roast, trimmed
1	package (1 oz) Old El Paso taco seasoning mix
1	can (8 oz) pineapple tidbits in juice, drained
2	teaspoons lime juice
1	package (4.6 oz) Old El Paso® taco shells
3/4	cup shredded Cheddar cheese (3 oz)
1 1/2	cups shredded lettuce
3/4	cup chopped tomato
1/3	cup sour cream
1/3	cup Old El Paso salsa

1 Spray 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place pork in slow cooker; sprinkle with taco seasoning mix. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 7 to 9 hours or until pork pulls apart easily with fork.
2 Remove pork from slow cooker; shred pork. Stir into liquid in slow cooker. Stir in pineapple and lime juice.
3 To serve, divide pork among taco shells (about 1/4 cup each), and top with remaining ingredients.

My week in a Reader's Digest Version

Hi all!! What a week this has been.~ but I'm a Proud Momma bursting at the seams! My beautiful daughter, Jen, had a birthday on July 4th and graduated from her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. If you are a friend of mine on Facebook you know of all the trials and tribulations Jen has been through and overcome.

March 2009 she moved to Florida into my home, being six months pregnant and having to move her son here to Florida 6 months previous due to health issues. Before the Lil Gal was born she signed up for Criminal Justice program. Well, long story short, she gave birth to Little Jaidyn another Love Of My Life. Then, proceeded to her schooling!

Even though my waistline doesn't need it, I've been on a chocolate kick lately...think I will be doing some research on low-cal choco. recipes, you think that's a good idea??

Crispy Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yield: 16 4-inch cookies

1 cup(s) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 1/3 cup(s) all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
10 tablespoon(s) (1 1/4 sticks) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1/3 cup(s) lightly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup(s) granulated sugar
2 tablespoon(s) plus 2 teaspoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoon(s) milk
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
3/4 cup(s) to 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Convert to metric

Directions
Position racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Line two large baking sheets with foil, dull side up. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together thoroughly. Set aside. In a large bowl, combine the butter, both sugars, corn syrup, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Stir in the flour mixture. Stir in the nuts and chocolate chips. The dough will be very soft.

Divide the dough in half. Divide one half of the dough into 10 equal pieces (each a scant 1/4 cup). Place 5 pieces of dough least 3 inches apart on each lined baking sheet. Use your fingers covered with a piece of plastic wrap to flatten each scoop until it is 3 inches in diameter. (Cookies will spread even more as they bake).

Bake the two sheets for 8 minutes. Rotate the sheets from the top rack to the bottom and from front to back. Bake for 7-10 more minutes, watching closely, until the cookies are evenly dark golden brown all over. (Pale cookies will not be crispy). Let cool on pan for 5 minutes. Slide the foil with cookies onto racks. When the baking sheets are cool, repeat with the remaining dough. Cool cookies completely before stacking or storing. Cookies keep, in an airtight container for at least 5 days.

Iced Mocha made with Lindt Chocolate

We all love chocolate? Right?? Right-o!! I found Lindt chocolate site through Facebook, (gee, imagine that) They have recipes listed on there....

Iced Mocha
Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups (600ml) milk
1 bar (3.5oz/100g each) Lindt Excellence 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate, chopped
1 cup (240ml) strong coffee
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup (60ml) crème de cacao or other chocolate liqueur (optional)

Method:

In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of the milk.
Add the chopped chocolate, stirring until completely melted.
Stir in the coffee and cinnamon, remove from heat.
Cool to room temperature.
Add remaining milk and crème de cacao, and chill until ready to serve.
Shake and strain into a tall glass with ice, or, for a more elegant presentation, use a martini glass.

Yield:

Makes 4–5 Servings

Dear Bertha,

I'm reading more and dusting less. I'm sitting in the yard and admiring the view without fussing about the weeds in the garden. I'm spending more time with my family and friends and less time working.

Whenever possible, life should be a pattern of experiences to savor, not to endure. I'm trying to recognize these moments now and cherish them.

I'm not "saving" anything; we use our good china and crystal for every special event such as losing a pound, getting the sink unstopped, or the first Amaryllis blossom.

I wear my good blazer to the market. My theory is if I look prosperous, I can shell out $28.49 for one small bag of groceries. I'm not saving my good perfume for special parties, but wearing it for clerks in the hardware store and tellers at the bank.

"Someday" and "one of these days" are losing their grip on my vocabulary. If it's worth seeing or hearing or doing, I want to see and hear and do it now

I'm not sure what others would've done had they known they wouldn't be here for the tomorrow that we all take for granted. I think they would have called family members and a few close friends. They might have called a few former friends to apologize and mend fences for past squabbles. I like to think they would have gone out for a Chinese dinner or for whatever their favorite food was.

I'm guessing; I'll never know.

It's those little things left undone that would make me angry if I knew my hours were limited. Angry because I hadn't written certain letters that I intended to write one of these days. Angry and sorry that I didn't tell my husband and parents often enough how much I truly love them. I'm trying very hard not to put off, hold back, or save anything that would add laughter and luster to our lives. And every morning when I open my eyes, tell myself that it is special.

Every day, every minute, every breath truly is a gift from God.

If you received this, it is because someone cares for you. If you're too busy to take the few minutes that it takes right now to forward this, would it be the first time you didn't do the little thing that would make a difference in your relationships? I can tell you it certainly won't be the last.

Take a few minutes to send this to a few people you care about, just to let them know that you're thinking of them.

"People say true friends must always hold hands, but true friends don't need to hold hands because they know the other hand will always be there."

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance

I love meeting new friends (virtually and in person)! Don't you?? We learn so much from one another. Kindred spirits seem to just flow and migrate together!

Well, let's see it all started when Lauralee of http://shabbylife-shabbylife.blogspot.com left me a comment after I liked one of her comments on Facebook! She's a doll who loves vintage and photography! Stop by her cute blog~ don't forget she LOVES comments! Thru Lauralee I met Michelle of http://stiltskinstudios.blogspot.com who also loves a good furniture find to relove and recreate, she recently starting selling her beautiful furniture, stop by and take a drool, oops, I mean look~ ....

It's through Laura and Michelle I heard of http://www.anniesloan.com/. (which I promise to get to, if you're still with me this far). Long story short I also found that there is a beautiful boutique and stockist http://www.robynstorydesigns.com. less than 10 minutes away from me!!! After I did the happy dance and calmed down a bit, I decided to make a trip over there on Saturday.

You take a rainy Sunday afternoon. Burnt Umber, Slate Gray, Off White Acrylic Paints. My fav paint rag and stipple brush along with a mini-planter.

Add a vintage hankie and a birdnest~

A couple of hours later~I love it~ Hope you do too.

Good Sunday afternoon to ya! This a.m. while the kids were still fast asleep I had a moment to myself. Cup of coffee and puter in hand. I began to search the "net". I find some many beautiful companies with loads of pretties. Many of them are in the U.K., France or Sweden.

Today I found Cath Kidston Ltd. Her company was founded in '92. She began with a small shop in London, selling vintage fabrics, wallpapers and painted "reloved" furniture in bright colors. Her small shop caught on to the public very fast all over the world! She is now selling in the UK, Japan and other countries.

I wanted to share some of her wares with you. Below are fabrics, furniture coverings, clothing, shoes, wellies and lovely lovely jewelry!

Howdy Girls! Let me tell you all about it!

Saturday I do believe I accumulated about two hours of shut-eye, if that...Why do you ask? I was leaving Tampa at 8 a.m. for a photoshoot in St. Cloud, Florida with Debbie Mangual. She is the sweet Jersey gal who is the owner of the "Infamous" Vintage Soul Store. I took over 300 photos, used 3 cameras~~well, I don't need to tell you.....Anyway, I've finished rambling, I want to share a few of the photos with y'all!

These are not in any certain order, but then again, these lovelies don't have to be~on with the show folks~

Oh! Let me tell you, I posted on Facebook I was as nervous as a bull in a china shop~well, guess what this loosy goosy did.....knocked over a vintage bottle! Luckily it didn't break, Deb just walked over ever so calmly and put in right back on the beautiful stand where it belonged!

I've so enjoyed my 3 days off with keeping my Lil Gal, spending time with friends and family, swimming and eating too much....Pretty whooped is my ole body here as I'm sure some of my friends are! But it's all good, right? right!

A Romantic Dinner for Two by Paula Deen...Simply Elegant Filet Mignon

Hello there all! It's Friday evening~I'm chillaxin' on my puffy sofa surfin' the net.

I found a great video from the Food Network Channel...Here, Paula Deen is making a couple of wonderful filets for her and hubby..Wrapping the filet in bacon and securing it with twine...after it was sauteed in Italian (herbed) dressing. Looks delicious!

Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

Do you know why? This is just beautiful~

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this....

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.

The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin.

Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.

She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved.. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!'

Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple out ran Peter and got there first. He stopped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely!
Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day.

The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition.

When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished...

Now if the master had finished eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.

The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm finished..."

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because..........

The folded napkin meant,

"I'm coming back!"

What's she up to now & gatherin' for a give a way!

I stayed home from work yesterday and gathered a few things. After seeing so many pretty birds and nests online, here are some of the makings for my next project. This is as far as I got LOL. Was nice spending the day on the sofa doing nothing...Well, almost nothing. My daughter surprised me with a visit and pizza! My son injured his leg at work, so we ended up at the hospital! As I say: No rest for the wicked!

I hope to get my project completed in the next day or two! I promise it'll look better than this!

Don't forget Spring is only 2 days away!

A Sunny Saturday at Schiller's Salvage with Sonny

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Saturday's weather here in Tampa was just beautiful so we took full advantage of it!

We hit the happy trails (not really trails) streets of Tampa~No real destination in mind, we thought we'd head toward the Tampa Aquarium. On the way, I discover Cypress Street! Remembering that my sweet gal pal Ruth (http://thebeautifullifeblog.blogspot.com) mentioning a salvage store on Cypress....

Sonny, hold on to your hat! U-turn (almost) in progress I turn down the street...driving very slow, not paying any mind to the cars behind me...On the right I see....Schiller's Architectural * Design Salvage (www.schillersalvage.com).

Another U-turn to park on the other side of the street. I grab my keys (no camera with me) & my cell phone, grateful that it does taken (semi) decent photos, we head to the "junk" yard....then wander around inside of the store:

We then hit a few (4, 5?) Thrift Stores and had a huge lunch at Datz Deli! The food was divine and too much to eat at one sitting, my made the perfect midnight snack!

Sonny Boy then gave me a vintage dresser mirror (painted purple, reminds me of my Donny Osmond days)!
I'll post about that later this week!

Funny, when I think of hardware...I think of cabinet knobs and the likes. I have recently found Restoration Hardware and found that they offer MUCH MORE than just ole hardware knobs. I mean wowsa!!!

A few weeks ago, my daughter and I went shopping at Hobby Lobby....It's only 5 minutes from her home...Good thing for me, she lives 45 minutes from me~or I'd be here all the time...The photos were taken with my cell phone. Yes, I was trying to be sneaky....lol. Not the best quality of photos, but I'm sure you will enjoy....and hopefully get some inspiration also!

I can't wait to try this project!!! Couldn't be too very difficult~


I've already purchased the board and paint. I have the photo sketched out~can't wait to paint it~will post for you , if it turns out well :) Yes, that's yours truly reflecting off the plastic, lol.

This is blurry, guess I was so excited when I saw it, I started shakin!


I'm now scouting for one of this at the thrift shoppes here in the bay area~Don't you just love the colors on it~

The $1.89 Challenge @ Earthly Treasures!

Blame it on George!


So, today at work I started cleaning my purse out! Shhh don't tell on me! LOL. This is what started it all. Being a Friday and having $1.89 in my purse just clinging around.....What do I do?? I challenge myself to stop at my fav thrift store~to see what I can purchase for $1.89!

So, having 20 minutes before the store closes...My first eye spy was this embroidery hoop hanging on the wall....25cts. Thinking ok, I will still have $1.64 left, I keep on roaming around......


Hmmmm, I spy two of these adorable ferris wheels for 50 cts a piece! I'm thinking spray painted a neutral color.....adding some small votives~what do you think???


Here's a quickie with some ole votives I had in the cupboard! Excuse their ashes, they need cleaned out!

By this time I'm pretty happy with my small amount of finds and keeping to my challenge of only spending $1.25 now! Walking to the check out, I find something reflecting and white! Ofcourse, I HAD to look:

I see this very small vanity...It's made to sit on top of a dressing table....Hummm $3, I pick it up, put it down......I don't know how many times....have you ever done that??? C'mon, be honest now!

Ok. $3.00 is a good (real good) price for this! I pick her up and start walking to the check-out....Do you ladies take checks? I ask....The sweet lil woman says, "Only if we know you". My response, "I'm here everyweekend!" Sweet Lady, "Okay, driver's license and mortgage deed please"....We both chuckle.

Me: "I'm sorry I rent, but I can give you my car title!" Sweet Lil woman, "That's fine!"

On the way out to get the title to my car, I see this desktop bill organiser~~ I'm thinking...ok, she takes checks....this is really calling out my name...so I scoop this up as well! (Note, she's already white also)
These two items are really waiting for me, aren't they? !?!

I adore the weaved inlay in this piece.....two drawers and slots to hold bills....But, I really think this will be a craft organiser....pretty pieces of sheet music and what not's will go in the slots!

Don't you love how the black numbers stand out against the white???? I luv it.....Oh I'm such a happy thriftaholic today! You know the feeling, I'm sure...The blood surges, you start smiling and doing the happy dance, right in the middle of the store because you're so happy with what you just gave a new forever home too...kinda like adopting a new pet!

So, on the way out (after Sweet Little Woman) let me write her a check and keep the title to my car...as she said it's hard to thrift on a 10-speed (although, I would find a way)...I was on my way out the door and scored FIVE issues of 'Southern Living' for free!!

This was a perfect way to start the weekend, today I will be picking up my Lil Gal for funtime with Grammie! I wish you all a blessed and wonderful weekend!

On my weekly trips to one of my fav thrift stores, Earthly Treasures, I spotted this lamp many weeks ago. "Polly" was sitting on the floor, in the same spot, feeling Oh so unwanted....I bypassed her every week...thinking "if she's still there in the future, I'll pick her up."

Last Friday she came home with me! $3.....

Ruffles in the le toilette? Why not!

Sometimes we forget how much "activity"goes on in the les toilettes. Why not pretty it up a bit.
I found some images of ruffled shower curtains that may be just the answer. I do like ruffles and the feminine look (without going to overboard).

This curtain from Anthropologie is semi-feminine....I think just enough ruffles to make it "pretty" but not overly foo-foo.

Lately, I've been liking the simplicity of black and white color scheme. This curtain can be used as a neutral, neither too feminine or too masculine.

I'm thinking shower curtains are NOT that expensive to make plus it would be our OWN thumbprint in our toilette! This is a project for my 2011 Bucket List!

I sit here with tears in my eyes, a heavy heart....This a.m. I read an email from my friend Judi that my friend Tom (I posted about him on FaceBook) was doing better and more alert, that he didn't want to die.

This last email I read is that he is slipping into a coma....I know that when my Dad passed he was more alert and aware of his surroundings the day before he passed. Tom was like that yesterday. Now he's slipping away from us. I pray that He will be out of pain and that the ones he leaves behind will find some kind of comfort.

This is very difficult as I can't say Good Bye to him.......I am still praying for a MIRACLE.

I know he wants us to carry on, to smile as we think of him, I can feel the angels are around him now.

Before I close this post, I do want to say one thing Tommy and I shared was the love of photography. He was a wonderful Wedding Photographer....So with him as an inspiration to me I will be more inspired to follow my dream to learn more of the art of capturing moments.

I read a quote by Brandy Anderson (Fresh Sugar Photography) and want to share it.

"I think the biggest hurdle for many new photographers, especially women, is self-confidence. Once we realized we are constantly learning for the rest of our lives, self-confidence becomes a challenge to keep improving our work, than than being a drawback."
